Biography
I am an integrative psychotherapist, drawing from myriad techniques and theories to best suit your unique needs in therapy. I particularly utilize narrative and person-centered modalities to help you understand how your past influenced your present, and how to take control of your future.
I believe that society has fundamentally failed many of us, and that feelings of isolation, anxiety, and depression are the result of that systemic failure. While I cannot fix that macroscopically, I can sit with you, support you, and help you in figuring out how to live within this world with grace, tolerance, and ease.
In addition to my training in clinical psychotherapy I hold certifications in Animal-Assisted Therapy, Human-Animal-Environment Interactions, and Trauma-Informed Yoga. This means I love to incorporate the natural world, your animal(s), and gentle movement into our sessions, if (and only if) that feels welcome.
Additionally, I understand that having a life/work balance is hard enough without therapy appointments complicating that, so I am always happy to offer sessions during "unconventional" hours (early mornings, late nights, weekends, etc.) if that is helpful. Just ask!
